For example, in my DBZ Mugen collection, I have about 40 different versions of plain ole' Goku (just his orange shirt and pants, no Super Saiyan, no anything, just normal):about 10 Super Butoden (SB)/Buyu Retsuden-style ones (be them ripped from the game or good edits), 10 Hyper Dimension (HD) ones, 3 Arcade (Choujin)-style ones, 3 chibi ones, 2 pocket ones, 1 High-Res (HR), 3 Ultimate Battle (UB)-style ones, 1 PC engine one, 1 in its own category:Goku X by SodonHD, and lastly the very good Arcade-style one by Cybaster and Balthazar. I say especially Dragon Ball Z-wise because DBZ most likely contains the most chars of any other series.

I am saying this not to upset creators but to movitate them, as I and probably a whole lot of other people would love to add to our rosters, DIFFERENT characters. Creators should stop trying so hard to make a good edit of an existing char and focus their attention on bringing to Mugen a whole completely different, new, and fresh char to the scene. In fact, I wasn't very active at that time because I had a thrash metal band and I worked there as a guitarist. about the content and the files, i really feel sad to think that i lost my account there hehehe. the files had quality.In Mugen (especially DBZ-wise), there is WAY TOO MANY different versions of characters. And I probably lost my account because of it. You're right, about that, the site's community is really active and they're nice guys most of the time, like majin kaine and swagga kings, i've talked to them about that, and i was told about the lurker system that works on the site. id say its more like a private guild of professionals than a casual based forum just for wares like mfg or archive or mffa etc the more your rank rises the more stuff you can access and stuff which is cool. you have to contribute and be social to keep an account there which imo is fair. Its an awesome community but you only get out what you put in from my experience. maybe one of the last true communities or mugen teams still active out there from the old days. Newagemugen makes the best stages and screenpacks.
